"Tripp Isenhour said that it was a “one-in-a-million” golf shot that killed a protected hawk and that he was only trying to scare the bird he now faces criminal charges for killing.
"He spoke on the Golf Channel’s PODS Championship postround show Friday, his first interview since the news was disclosed that he killed the hawk Dec. 12.
"Investigators say Isenhour became upset because the hawk’s loud chirps interrupted the filming of his 
instructional video. He was charged Wednesday in Orange County Circuit Court in Florida with animal cruelty and killing a migratory bird, charges that carry a combined 14 months in jail and 
$1,500 in fines."

it's all fun and games untill a bird gets hurt. Then It's Hilarious!!!
I find this golfer's behavior juvenile , immature and utterly unjustifiable. Professional athletes need to try to act smart and grown-up, even if they aren't. The CHILDREN depend on them.

ps - what if you put 2 golfers who just missed the cut in an enclosed area and gave 'em 9-irons. I'd take some action on that one!
Sorry we got all the Hawks confused!! It was a Hawk in December, with a golf ball, and a 2-wood, from the fairway, in Florida, by Mr Tr'Pibb'-ipp.
