Practice :: "Between a Rock and a Hard Place"

Have you seen a famous Las Vegas Landmark sign at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and consider the following:

1) Is this architrave surprisingly ahead of its time, a premonition and tell-tale sign of the future of the Music Industry?
a) Yes
b) No

2) Do you see this giant neon and metal guitar as a) sinking, or as b) rising?

3) As shown, in your opinion, should this Guitar really be taller than the Palm trees surrounding it; or should the palms be taller?
a) Yes, trees should be taller
b) No, guitar whould be taller
c) Undecided

4) Compare the top photo with this second photo. Is the angle of the guitar a necessary design consideration for attracting public, thereby bringing in more business to the Hotel, Casino and Cafe of Hard Rock? [Hint -- Top Photo is guitar at an acute angle, the Bottom Photo is at a right angle]
a) Yes Top Photo is accurate and more effective
b) No Top Photo is unnecessarily angled that way, and Bottom Photo is more appealing
c) Undecided, because I'm a wimp and really don't want to try to figure out what the hell you are on about...

5) Do you think of miscreants, bums, freeloaders, bad boys, and transients when you take a moment and consider the title "Hard Rock" -- for instance: do you think "Chain Gang" as you see these signs?
a) Yes
b) No
c) Undecided

6) In this last Photo of the angled guitar, could this be a left hand guitar and a right hand guitar simultaneously; and is that not a heavy concept that you could actually write a Rock 'n Roll song about?
a) Yes
b) No
c) Undecided

7) What do people do in the Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos?
a) I don't know
b) I know someone who forgets
c) What people do in Las Vegas, you know, stays in Las Vegas

8) [ ...finish this sentence]: "I am a avid fan of CSI and want like heck to go to a stage show in Las Vegas, but (my) ______________ won't let me."

9) What song are you most likely to hear while strolling the strip, tasting buffets, and meandering through pop culture museums in Las Vegas?
a) "Danke Shoen"
b) "Muscat Hill Blues"
c) "Jadda; Jadda; Jadda, Jing-Jing-Jing"
d) "The Lark Ascending,"
e) No Music -- just News:
f) "Who Are You"
g) Andre Bocelli singing "Muffin Man", and "Cosmik Debris"
h) Psalm 23
i) Pribek buskin' "Two Trains" with his top-hat tipped for coin
