Update::New Directions MooPig :: Frequent Heartburn #2

::UPDATE::UPDATE::UPDATE::UPDATE::UPDATE::UPDATE::UPDATE::

This just in from our Correspondent in Zeeland ... Mr C:
"Simple explanation:
Our home computers will not have anything but the foundational operating system software on them - all of our programs will be housed, updated, maintained by the "software utility" in ?? Brazil, Bombay or College Station. No doubt we will buy software packages like we buy satellite TV packages.
"I think this means we will only really need 6 IT geeks to run all of the western hemisphere........... What will happen to the rest of them? Now that we don't need to put up with their snotty superiority attitude anymore it will be back to tweaking their noses and slamming them up against the lockers again like in high school.
........and this is what really scares Bill Gates...................."
C.

MooPig: Much obliged there Mr C. We were beginning to wonder if Bill Gates is a true coward or not.

This 118-year-old technology is about to bring Microsoft
to its knees...

On October 30, 2005, something incredible happened...
[SOURCE]           P.P.P.S. There's only one catch: To take advantage of this remarkable offer, you must join through this email today!

In Redmond, Washington, one of the world's richest -- and most powerful -- businessmen sent an urgent memo to his top engineers and most-trusted managers.

It sounded the alarm that a very disruptive "wave" was about to wash over the entire world -- forever changing the way we get information and do business.

It also warned this would wipe out the $200 billion business empire he'd spent his life building.

Meanwhile, a few hundred miles south, on the banks of the Columbia River, a mysterious outfit known only as "Design LLC" quietly constructed two massive, windowless warehouses.

This mammoth undertaking was code-named "Project 2," and the International Herald Tribune described the towering monolithic structures as "looming like an information-age nuclear plant."

I realize this may sound like something out of a Tom Clancy novel, but I think you'll want to bear with me, because...

Analysts estimate this "wave" has grown into a $160 billion tsunami

And experts say it's going to upend a $1 trillion industry. Yet very few investors understand just how huge it's going to be.

That's why I urge you to take the next few minutes to read this report in its entirety.

At the very least, you'll get the full story so you can decide for yourself if you'll be front and center when the big money starts rolling in.

But I warn you, the smart money is already on the move...

A handful of investors are already quietly positioning themselves to cash in on this incredible economic shift. Soon, tens of thousands will be rushing to join them.

One of the most lucrative investment opportunities
we'll ever encounter

This story is so big that we have to step clear back to February 28, 1881, to put it into perspective.

On that chilly winter night, a 21-year-old British stenographer named Samuel Insull arrived in the port of New York aboard the City of Chester.

Thomas Edison's chief engineer had lured him to America to serve as Edison's private secretary.

11 years later, Insull oversaw the merger that created General Electric, and shortly thereafter was offered the presidency of the Chicago Edison Company.

Little did anyone know, the world of electricity was about to drastically change.

At the time, cities like Chicago had dozens of small, privately owned power stations transmitting direct current (DC) electricity to neighborhoods within a small radius.

With due respect to Edison, Insull knew that the model Edison had created was flawed.

So he set out to transform Edison's legacy into something far greater and more efficient than its creator had ever imagined.

In doing so, he forever changed the world

Insull realized if he could create a "utility" by building giant central power stations that would transmit alternating current (AC) electricity over great distances...

These power stations could be linked to form a giant grid that would serve homes, businesses, and industries in even the most remote locations.

Once electricity was readily available everywhere, more and more electric-powered devices would come to market -- creating more and more demand for the electricity that the utilities produced.

And here's the kicker...

Because these utilities could match supply with demand, realize superior economies of scale, and use their generating capacity much more efficiently, they could deliver electricity for a fraction of what it cost people to produce it on their own.

And Insull was right on the money!

By 1907, utilities produced 40% of the power in the U.S. In 1920, that number stood at 70%, and a decade later, it was over 90%.

What was once unimaginable had suddenly become reality.

Now history is repeating itself

118 years after Insull came up with the idea for a "utility," this breakthrough technology has morphed and been reapplied to the world of computers -- and now the next great technological revolution is under way...

Which is exactly why I'm writing you today.

You see, one of the most successful investors I've ever met is convinced that this technological shift will dump millions of dollars into the portfolios of investors just like you.

But in order to claim your fair share of the wealth, you have to know who the dominant players are -- and you have to get invested now.

That's why I want to introduce you to this legendary investor and tell you about three companies he's identified as "top dogs" and "first movers" in this breakout industry.

These are the companies he believes will dominate their industries over the next 5 to 10 years and hand investors life-changing wealth along the way.

I'll also reveal the six traits he looks for in a growth stock -- and explain how they have led him to companies that have soared 215%, 232%, 275%, 411%, and even 644% in just the past five years.

But first, let me tell you a little bit more about this amazing technology and why, once again...

The unimaginable is fast becoming a reality

You probably remember when computers took up entire rooms and were used only by companies that needed to do intense mathematical calculations.

That all changed when Intel unveiled the microprocessor and a geeky college dropout started writing software with his former high school pal.

Thanks to the virtual desktop they developed, the PC quickly replaced the mainframe as the center of corporate computing and began showing up in homes across America.

Before long, companies began building intraoffice networks so that their employees could run programs like Microsoft Word and Excel on their PCs, and also access programs, files, and printers from a central server.

But, like Edison's, this model was far from perfect.

Due to a lack of standards in computing hardware and software, competing products were rarely compatible -- making PC networks far more inefficient than their mainframe predecessors.

In fact, most servers ended up being used as single-purpose machines that ran a single software application or database.

And every time a company needed to add a new application, it was forced to expand its data centers, replace or reprogram old systems, and hire IT technicians to keep everything running.

As a result, global IT spending jumped from under $100 billion a year in the early 1970s to over $1 trillion a year by the turn of the century.

Here's the dirty secret behind this mind-boggling growth -- and the two words that will put an end to the party

IT-consulting firm IDC reports that every dollar a company spends on a Microsoft product results in an additional $8 of IT expenses.

And one IT expert admits, "Trillions of dollars that companies have invested into information technology have gone to waste."

Yet, companies have had no choice but to run these obscenely expensive and highly inefficient networks.

But that's all about to change...

And that's precisely why the two words "cloud computing" scare the hell out of Bill Gates.

You see, he realizes that thanks to the thousands of miles of fiber-optic cable laid during the late 1990s, the speed of computer networks has finally caught up to the speed of computer processors.

As IT expert Nicholas Carr explains, "What the fiber-optic Internet does for computing is exactly what the alternating-current network did for electricity."

Suddenly, computers that were once incompatible and isolated are now linked in a giant network, or "cloud."

As a result, computing is fast becoming a utility in much the same way that electricity did...

"The next sea change is upon us." -- Bill Gates

Think back a few years -- any time you wanted to type a letter, create a spreadsheet, edit a photo, or play a game, you had to go to the store, buy the software, and install it on your computer.

But nowadays, if you want to look at pictures on Facebook... find directions on MapQuest... watch a video on YouTube... or sell furniture on Craigslist... all you really need is an Internet connection.

Because although these activities require you to use your PC, none of the content you are accessing or the applications you are running are actually stored on your computer -- instead they're stored at a giant data center somewhere in the "cloud."

And you don't give any of it a second thought... just like you don't think twice about where the electricity is coming from when you plug an appliance into the wall.

But cloud computing isn't going to be just a modern convenience -- it's going to be an enormous industry.

You see, everyone from individuals to multinational corporations can now simply tap into the "cloud" to get all the things they used to have to supply and maintain themselves. This will save some companies millions and make others billions.

"Is cloud computing the next big thing?"

That's the title of an article in PC Magazine.

The answer was an overwhelming yes. And PC Magazine isn't the only one taking note of this sweeping trend...

Just in Case You are a Senior and Get a Check for $250...
By end of this year, we seniors will again receive an Economic Stimulus payment. This is a very exciting program.
I'll explain it using the Q and A format:
------------ --------- ---------
Q. What is an Economic Stimulus payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.
Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers..
Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. Only a smidgen.
Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.
Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of Asia ?
A. Shut up or you don't get your check.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:
1. If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, your money will go to China .
2. If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to Saudi Arabia .
3. If you purchase a computer, it will go to India .
4. If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras or Guatemala .
5. If you buy a car, it will go to Japan or Korea .
6. If you purchase useless plastic stuff, it will go to Taiwan .
7. If you pay off your credit cards, or buy stock, it will go to pay management bonuses and be hidden in offshore accounts.

Or, you can keep the money in America by:
1. spending it at yard sales or flea markets, or
2. going to baseball or football games, or
3. hiring prostitutes, or
4. buying cheap beer or
5. getting tattoos.
These are the only wholly-American- owned businesses still operating in the US .

Conclusion:
The best way to stimulate the economy is to go to a ball game with a prostitute that you met at a yard sale and drink beer all day until you're drunk enough to go get tattooed.

thanks Guy. PD

NWO is a kind of Queer Idea :: Get Your Cognitive Dissonance on

Yes, One time Offer, then we turn it over to the Chinese
By Pat Darnell and the Whole Farm

Essentially the outcomes of this article are due USA giving away the whole farm...

Reviewing Hal Lindsay Report 10.23.09   [SOURCE]
Multi-tasking, or just plain winging it. We are most the time winging it. You know, setting goals too high, and performing substandard. Tragically our blundering makes us drop trillions of tons of goo on delicate arctic animals; and it all gets televised. Who will clean it all up?

What are some offerings we can put out for our MooPigsters? Well, we thought deep, and we concentrated hard, on wellsprings of congnitive stimulae .... only to fail because there was too much confusion and and we were distracted by the caucophony emitting from our barnyard. Is the subject(s) too deep ??

Many friends of MooPigsters are meditative, thoughtful, and hardest working som' bi'ches on the face of the planet; that is, our readers work half as hard as their moms and daddies did, but twice as hard as everyone else. Yes, you. (see: also Alex Jones' Prison Planet dot com)

Heart Trouble: The most important walk is not to walk in rules, but to walk in location; location: as in "where is the heart?" Avoid love for our cosmetic world, rather love with all one's heart, as in giving, as wanting, as in serving the Lord God Father. Yes a wee bit of preaching always helps... especially where the Farm is concerned.

Church, Nation, World: [Matthew 6: 24-26] Notify the Church, Nation and World of the wisdom you receive in your walk, in your sleep, and in your days. That means give lovingly, with your whole heart, with clarity and with charity, to our next generations.

No Man can serve two Masters: In December Obama [might have signed] a World Order Government Treaty that will send the USA in a downward spiral.

Do you idolize Barry Obama? Do you think Alien Gore and Willie Clinton have any desire to serve in only one hemisphere of the planet, when they could see their lame selves ruler of a New World Order organized under absurd Global Protection Treaty's???

"OUCH!!" Says the barnyard; who blame them-selves for all the carbon they have emitted over their lifetimes. "We are Guilty !!!"

"No you're not," I say. "Do not whimper like that; because you think you have something to do with the cosmo world's condition."

Guilt is a desperate and all consuming taskmaster. It uses its sidekick Blame to enforce its goals. Goals for guilt are ... hmmmm ... slovenly slacking, emo-babbling, frozen assets, and blaming someone else for all His troubles.

Yes, almost every USA citizen who votes today believes in cognitive dissonance. [Please, MooPig curmudgeons, listen to Hal Lindsay's Report now] Hal is a brave man, and I admire him for his endurance.

I am guilty of trying to serve two masters -- dissonance worship in practice, yes, I admit. It is my own downlow attitudes that I bring forward from the sixties that confuses my children and wife today.

No doubt in my mind; I could have done without the backward-forward slant of a skewed ideology that sells products, but supplies no edifications.

Instead of Czars, Barry, You need Chimney Sweeps

by Pat Darnell, and, Lv. It'2 Beavre

Our US federal Government is inept. It is an incongruous, asymmetric, hodge-podge bureaucracy of stove pipes and tar-like London rooftops.

We inherit a boondoggle the day we are born US citizens. Our Representatives go to Washington DC and are "born again." That's right -- Legislators of all backgrounds go to the gristmill of bureaucratized governing and start to drink the same whiskey, eat the same foods of the polled out ghetto of DC-Baltimore-Potomac triumvirate of filth. And they all become same-smelling newborns with a pot full of cash to soil.

Washington, DC, it is a cruel environment to spend your working life in and around.

Then our esteemed leaders of our constituency find it normal to perform heinous acts of graft, nepotism, and philandering. [murder, rape, drunkenness, domestic violence] It is so common, it is the rule, it seems. Teddy Roosevelt never apologized -- but for the love of God, who would want his sorry looking ass?

Okay, so everybody is a frakk-up. There are plenty of "ex-friends" of mine out there waving a handkerchief at me and saying remember what you promised me?

However, every time there is a fatal'e femme found undulating in front of a camera, followed by closet "others," American citizens forgive. But just as soon as forgiveness is bestowed, appears a  void almost immediately that our media fills with seventy more suitcase models of aberrant behavior. Then the general populace gets in on the act.

"After earning my first billion dollars, and, winning all the trophies known in golf," says Tiger Woods, "I decided to get sloppy with my philandering, and some of my liaison troop d' force got out of my stable." Yes, the cleanest can be the dirtiest. Besides, who wants to be known as the "Prude?"

So the seven deadliest sins break wind on a minute by minute schedule in our federal government. It seems it cannot exist in its totalitarian capacity without them. In fact our family of Executive, Legislative and Justice siblings must have their down-low behaviors to make it all work. That is the bigger truth here.

I just get so damn tired of hearing about it. It's self-inflicted behavior faults; so grow up, assholes. Barry O, you need chimney sweeps over there in DC, not Czars. All the apples in your barrel are probably rotten because there is no law that will keep the first rotten apple out.

10 Ways to Enjoy Doing Nothing by Tom Hodgkinson
Advice on how to switch off―no thoughts of your to-do list―from a man who has devoted his career to the idyllic art of idling.

1. Banish the guilt. We are all told that we should be terribly busy, so we can’t laze around without that nagging feeling that we need to be getting stuff done. I rejected my guilt upon learning that Europeans in the Middle Ages felt no shame for lolling about. [...] When you understand that it hasn’t always been this way, it becomes easier to shake it off.

2. Choose the right role models. Most of the great musicians and poets were idlers. So feed yourself a diet of John Lennon, Oscar Wilde, Walt Whitman, and the like. Carrying a slim volume of verse in your purse or pocket can be therapeutic―something from Keats, who wrote of “evenings steep’d in honied indolence,” or Wordsworth, of course. [...]

3. Sketch a flower. If you are new to idling and feel compelled to be purposefully occupied, sketching a flower at the kitchen table can be an excellent way to bring some divine contemplation into your life. The act of drawing makes you observe the bloom in a way you never have before. All anxieties fly away as you lose yourself in close study. And at the end of it you have a pretty little sketch.

4. Go bumbling. Bumbling is a nice word that means “wandering around without purpose.” It was indulged in by the poets of 19th-century Paris. They called themselves flâneurs and were said to have taken tortoises around on leads, which gives you an idea of the tempo of their rambles. [...]

5. Play the ukulele. The ukulele is the sound of not working. My wife hates it for that very reason: The twang of those strings means that I am not doing something useful around the house. I keep my ukulele in the kitchen and play it at odd moments, like while I’m waiting for the kettle to boil.

6. Bring back Sundays. Many religions still observe a Sabbath,[...]. Don’t clean the house or do the laundry; don’t get in the car. Stay home and eat chocolate and drink wine. Be kind to yourself.

7. Lie in a field. Doing nothing is profoundly healing―to yourself and to the planet. It is precisely our restless activity that has caused the environmental crisis. So do some good by taking a break from “doing” and go and lie on your back in a field. Listen to the birds and smell the grass.

8. Gaze at the clouds. Don’t have a field nearby? Doing nothing can easily be dignified by calling it “cloud spotting.” [...]

9. Take a nap. [...]. Yet our culture has decided that naps are for wimps. A nap is acceptable only if it is called a “power nap”―a short doze that is supposed to return you to the office with more energy to kick some ass.[...] Research has shown that a daily snooze can reduce the risk of heart attack. [...] If curling up in your office isn’t an option, go somewhere quiet, like a church or a park bench, and close your eyes for even just five minutes.

10. Pretend to meditate. For us westerners, meditation is an accepted way of doing nothing. Tell everyone you’re going to meditate, then go into your bedroom, shut the door, and stare out the window or read or lie down for half an hour. You have excused yourself from household tasks and can indulge in contemplation, reflection, and that underrated pleasure, thinking, without fear of disapproval. [from Comments]"... However many videos I see of Eric playing, I never see him playing a bum note, or the wrong chord, or get his timing wrong, or have a guitar that's not properly in tune, even after several numbers. So reliable and so professional. But when it's someone else's turn to be in the spotlight, he always shows respect and restraint, and keeps out of their way until it's his turn. No wonder everyone is happy to play with him on stage. But when his turn does come round, boy does Eric shine ... "

Jordan's good, but it's true this version plods and has no pep. Dylan sounds like a drunk bum groaning in his sleep. Keith's okay. Legends? Yeah, fine. Don't let that obscure the fact that the total sound is sloppy and plodding. Listen with your ears, not with history.

Pete Seeger and his Sweater -- Seventy Miles

LYRICS:

Seventy miles of wind and spray
Seventy miles of water
Seventy miles of open bay
It's a garbage dump

What's that stinky creek out there
Out behind the slum's back stair
Sludgy puddle, sad and gray
Why man, that's San Francisco Bay

Seventy miles of wind and spray
Seventy miles of water
Seventy miles of open bay
It's a garbage dump

Joe Ortega and the Spanish crew
Sailed across the ocean blue
Came into this mighty bay
Stood on the decks and cried, "Ole!"

Seventy miles of wind and spray
Seventy miles of water
Seventy miles of open bay
It's a garbage dump

Fill it here, fill it there
Docks and tidelands disappear
Shaky houses on the quakey ground
The builder, he's Las Vegas bound

Seventy miles...

"Dump the garbage in the Bay?"
City Hall says, "Sure, you may
When cries of anguish fill the air
We'll be off on the Riviere"

Seventy miles of wind and spray
Seventy miles of water
Seventy miles of open bay
It's a garbage dump

TAX Refund -- Fun in the Sum; but not for All

TAXES :: Tracking down your tax refund
By Kay Bell • Bankrate.com

TAX TIP No. 38

You're getting a tax refund, so you filed early. So where's your check?
Well, you can stop bugging your mail carrier. There are more productive ways to track down your Internal Revenue Service cash.
Now you can go online or call a special toll-free number to check your refund status, regardless of whether you're awaiting a check in the mail or you've instructed the IRS to directly deposit your tax cash into one or multiple accounts.

The waiting game
Since 2003, taxpayers have been able to use the IRS' "Where's My Refund?" Web page to track down refunds directly from their own computers.
But exactly when you need this service depends on how you filed your return. Processing times differ for paper and electronically filed 1040s. How you ask the IRS to send you your money also makes a difference.

If you e-file and request direct deposit, the IRS says it should take no longer than three weeks for you to get your refund. If you filed a paper return and asked that your check be mailed to you, it could take up to eight weeks.

Once you're past the time frame for issuance of your refund, it's time to log on and locate your money.

In this tax tip:
The waiting game.

  • Necessary tracking data.
  • Dialing for tax dollars.
  • What's the holdup?
  • Speeding up the process.
  • What if it's lost?
  • And if the check is wrong?
  • Check your bank account.
  • Necessary tracking data

To get started, you'll need your Social Security number, the filing status entered on your return and the amount you're expecting. Joint-return filers should enter the name and tax ID number of the spouse shown first on the return.
And don't do any rounding on the refund amount entry. The tracking program wants precise dollars and cents.

If you have any questions about exactly what information the IRS wants here, the "Where's My Refund?" program has links that will open up new screens with explanations of where you can find the information on your copy of your return.

After you've entered the necessary data, then click and wait for the good news that your check is in the mail.

Dialing for tax dollars
If you don't have access to a computer or simply prefer using a telephone, you still can call the IRS to track down your refund.
A special automated toll-free line is dedicated to refund status reports. When you call (800) 829-1954, you'll need the same information the online system requires.

In addition to having a copy of your return on hand, it's always a good idea to have paper and pen ready to jot down any information, additional instructions or follow-up phone numbers that you might receive during the call.

And, as with the online system, don't call unless it's been the requisite number of weeks for your filing method.

What's the holdup?
In most cases, the IRS says a taxpayer will learn via the Web site or by phone that his or her return was received and is being processed.
When the tax check is indeed in the mail, the tracking systems will provide the date it was sent out or directly deposited to the filer's chosen account.

But even when the news is bad, the online program might be able to offer some immediate help. If, for example, the U.S. Postal Service bounced your refund check back to the IRS as undeliverable, the IRS online tracker now allows some taxpayers to correct or change their mailing addresses online so they can get their refunds ASAP.

If this option is available in your case, "Where's My Refund?" will prompt you to take the appropriate steps.

Soccer coach trying to take back child-porn guilty plea
March 15, 2010 7:22 PM  |  Retrieved by P Darnell  |  SOURCE
A Coal City soccer coach and paramedic described by his former attorney as a "community hero" is attempting to rescind his guilty plea on federal child pornography charges, in part because he wasn't wearing his glasses when he entered the plea.

Investigators were led to Timothy Scholtes after they found his name and login ID -- "boypleaser" -- on servers used by a child pornography Web site in 2008, according to the criminal complaint.

Authorities then found more than 100 illegal images on Scholtes' computer, records show. They also found a document he apparently wrote that describes sexually assaulting players on his team, records show.

In October, Scholtes pleaded guilty in federal court before Judge Robert Gettleman to two counts of receiving child pornography on his computer and one count of enticing a minor to engage in filmed sexual activity. He was not charged with sexually assaulting anyone.

Then Scholtes, who is being held in the Kankakee County jail, fired his attorney. His new attorney, Gerardo Gutierrez, compared the October plea hearing in a filing last week to the rushed final round of the television show "Jeopardy!"

Gutierrez acknowledged it will be "extremely difficult" for Scholtes to withdraw his plea but argues the judge failed to properly determine Scholtes understood the charges he faced before accepting it. Scholtes cannot read without his glasses and did not have them on the day he made his plea or when he met with prosecutors to discuss the case weeks before, Gutierrez said.

Scholtes also was charged in Grundy County last year with indecent solicitation after allegedly propositioning a boy on his soccer team who refused the advance. Grundy County State's Attorney Sheldon Sobol said the charge was dismissed pending the federal case's outcome.

Among the challenges Scholtes faces in rescinding his plea are his own words.

"There is times I've sat in my cell and wondered, 'Did I do this?'" Scholtes said at his plea hearing, according to an excerpted transcript included in last week's filing. "And I've just blocked it out and don't remember doing it. I don't know, sir. The only thing I can say is that I did it."

Vanishing Groups :: WWII Veterans of Foreign Wars -- Harold Estes

Don't You Love the Internet !!!!!!
retrieved by Pat Darnell for all you Mean-Spirited Americans

Subject: A 95 Year Old WWII Battleship Sailor talks to OBAMA -- still a few good ones around with guts, and honor!

A 95 Year Old WWII Battleship Sailor Tells OBAMA to act like a USA president and not like a president of a foreign country. [SNOPES]

WW II Battleship sailor tells Obama to shape up or ship out !

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body,
he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama,
My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of.
You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

" We're no longer a Christian nation"
" America is arrogant" - (Your wife even announced to the world," America is mean-spirited. " Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness..)

I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."

Which ones did you mean?
Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British?
Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War?
I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.
Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.
Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.
And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts , who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.
One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son.. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.
You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.
And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle.

Sincerely,
Harold B. Estes

MooPig Food for Thought Facts :: pROXIMATE cAUSES FOR fOOD cRISIS

Food Sovereignty [SOURCE]
Eric Holt Gimenez

March 2010 retrieved by Pat Darnell : Where recorded: Seattle, WA   ::   Date recorded: 30 Nov 2009

"Food is the weak link that brought down earlier civilizations," says author Lester Brown. And it could bring our own civilization down if we continue with business as usual.

We are entering a new food era, one marked by higher prices, growing numbers of hungry people, and an intensifying competition for land and water. A record number of Americans are now living on food stamps.

Among the factors responsible for the crisis are the policies of a handful of transnational agri-food monopolies and the use of grain to produce fuel for cars.

The sharp climb in grain prices in the last few years underlines the gravity of the situation. The global cost of wheat, rice, corn, and soybeans has roughly tripled, reaching historic highs.

What are the alternatives? Local communities and international social movements are promoting sustainable agriculture and food sovereignty.

Presentation by Eric Holt Gimenez
Eric Holt-Gimenez is the executive director of FoodFirst/Institute for Food and Development Policy. He is the author of "Campesino a Campesino: Voices from Latin America's Farmer to Farmer Movement" and co-author with Raj Patel of "Food Rebellions! Crisis and the Hunger for Justice."
______________________________
Related Notes on this presentation include:

  • BIO-FUELS cane, palm, and, corn by iNDUStrial food production
  • Renewable energy tagets ethanol

New demand for those bio fuel crosses food stuffs at that point due to reduction in wheat, and grain supplies. For example the Arthur Daniels Midlands ... hoarding reserves led to tortilla crisis in Mexico. It is a loss of common sense about food production, sort of a perturbation due to twisted thinking.

Nations facing hunger crisis's is due to vulnerable food system is most often measured in FIVE major crops controled by Megla -Industrial Agri Foods Complex such as:

  • large Monsanto Genetics
  • GMO seed storage that didn't happen over nite
  • Green Revolution of 1960 between Global North versus Global South

Supposed redundancy in genetic manipulation of seeds in our recent past is in error. The conclusion has destroyed food supplies by altering crops through planting Agri bio diversity. It turns out, collected seed to make hybrid HY[D] High Yield crops ... pushes peasants out of their fertile fields. Peasants can not afford the food they themselves have planted.

The most damage occurred when extension of the farm was destroyed by Green Revolution 1960 thru 1980.

Had it worked it would have balanced supplies of food throughout the world but instead produced hungry people and saved some groups... equaled out. For example 11 percent had more food while hunger went up 11 percent as they are forced off their land to postage stamp properties and washed out escarpments.

This Corporate food regime, driven by world bank, and WMF imposed an evolutionary tangent that followed EArl Butz who says: "Get big or get out." Led to over production and the banks foreclosed on properties.
[PHOTO E Butz left, Bennett right]
How did the Monies groups destroy food supplies? "This is my [Eric Holtz Gimenez] answer:
Monetary funders said stop growing food and grow exported crops because you need money, dismantle your tariffs... tear them down... get rid of grain reserves ...reserves stabilize prices... "

High prices makes USA and nations of the global South vulnerable. WMF and free trade... or food from global market ..... is no longer from countries of the global south.

Third step to make food supplies FAIL? -- WTO, Nafta, and Kafta, have cemented agriculture into treaties.... Results -- Food Industrial complex is

  • highest polluter
  • taints water
  • imports are increased
  • varieties are left to rot in seed banks... losing global heritage
  • credit to plant company seeds in the franchise....
  • diplacement of peasantry
  • Anecdote goes like this -- "... average age of farmer in US is 60" while in ten years the average age of the farmer will be 'DEAD'"

Thus, farmers are out of work, with concentration of profits BUNGE [Bunge's Food Ingredients division is a global business with operations in North and South America, Europe and India.], Monsanto, while a study is made: GMO will save world from hunger. The study is 400 scientists.... and four years later ... food production vs hunger [Trade and Food Production] results were not supportive of GMO "genetically modified organism (GMO) or genetically engineered organism (GEO) is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering..." (wkpda)
GMO 's are not effective.... the seeds are not higher yielding... meanwhile back at the ranch "... intrinsic Bill Gates joins offices with Monsanto to make free stuff.. [Doomsday Seed Vault] in an unholy union.. to further the ambivalence of megla-industrial food complexes ... have resulted in unpredictable results because of disruptive industry genetic study instead of dirt farmer finding the answer.....

For instance: "... drought resistant corn only grows when there is a draught [Eric H Gimenez]..."
The Gates Foundation [HERE] with a whopping $34.6 billion endowment and a legal necessity to spend $1.5 billion a year on charitable projects around the world to maintain its tax free charitable status. No project is more interesting at the moment than a curious project in one of the world’s most remote spots, Svalbard. Bill Gates is investing millions in a seed bank on the Barents Sea near the Arctic Ocean, some 1,100 kilometers from the North Pole. Svalbard is a barren piece of rock claimed by Norway and ceded in 1925 by international treaty (see map).
World Bank report on agriculture say the north benefits in liberalized trade, while the study was made to support the opposite result. The speaker Mr Gimenez suggests "Africa Union should not sign the free trade agreement ...."
