MooPig Brain Industries :: 'Minicomputers' Live Inside the Human Brain

Brain Synapses
Retrieved by Pat Darnell  |  Oct 31, 2013 |  Bryan TX

'Minicomputers' Live Inside the Human Brain - Yahoo News: " "Dendrites thus act as miniature computing devices for detecting and amplifying specific types of input."

"Imagine you're reverse engineering a piece of alien technology, and what you thought was simple wiring turns out to be transistors that compute information," Smith said. "That's what this finding is like. The implications are exciting to think about."

All in all, "functions we thought required an entire neuron may be carried out instead by just one portion of a neuron's dendritic tree," Smith told LiveScience. "This would imply that a single neuron can act like many, many computational subunits.""

'via Blog this'

Are you feeling compartmentalized lately? Does your doctor keep sending you to "specialists?" Every time you get a blood test, the blood center calls back to say "all is normal." But you don't feel normal, like you used to. At age fifty some "tests" are mandatory; such as a endoscopy, eye tests, and urologists' tests. Let's not forget the prostrate exam, YIKES, I didn't study for any of these tests!

Your brain is depending on all these body functions to keep it running. Your whole physical makeup works in concert to nourish your brain with what it needs to get through every hour of every day.
" ... The human brain possesses about 100 billion neurons with roughly 1 quadrillion — 1 million billion — connections known as synapses wiring these cells together. (Charles Q. Choi, LiveScience Contributor. October 30, 2013. LINK)..."
All this discussion and not one word on the skill of surgeons. Where is the comparable reporting of neurologists skill? Or is that an oxymoron? What is your neurologists efficacy? Better than 10%? Look HERE.

CONCLUSION
I want even more brainpower so I can be an even bigger asshole. Ask your doctors how to achieve this. Tell them you want to be smarter than them.

MooPig Free Range Grazing Rights Department :: "Madness DeLayed"

Texas Politics always Shady?
Mashed articles by Pat Darnell |  Oct 30, 2012  | Bryan TX

Does anyone remember dodgy DeLay? The mesmerizing houdini of negotiations, who negotiated himself into a jail cell. He recently was let go, by "divine justice," so he says.

It's Texas bullshit as usual. This state is so full of bombastic idiots, that it really seems to be the norm -- to be several cards short of a full deck.

[Picture LINK]

Tom DeLay: I’m back and I’m on a mission from God | The Raw Story: "In his speech to the group, DeLay waxed on about how his faith in Christ helped him struggle through criminal charges for money laundering and racketeering. His money laundering conviction was overturned in September by a Texas judge.

“It’s really happy day for me, and I just thank the Lord for carrying me through all of this and it really drove my detractors crazy because I had the joy of Jesus in me and they didn’t understand it,” said DeLay to reporters in September.

The man known as “The Hammer” for his aggressive negotiating style spent more than $12 million in legal fees in order to avoid jail time."

Comments at the end of the article:

mgardener • 20 minutes ago − Think he's confusing his "God" with his banker. Of course he's out, he spent 12 million dollars and had a Bush appointed judge. Didn't need 'God' when you have money and a judge. You know, maybe God is punishing us, not because of gay marriage, but because we have.... Republicans!!!

rt5guide • 41 minutes ago − It would seem that "God" has been doing a shitty job in the messenger department as of late. Where's the burning bush stuff? THAT I would pay heed too. The ones that God has "chosen" to carry water as of late, not so much.

stingray68 • an hour ago − Run, Tom, run! What could be better than having a crooked hack like you back in Congress as the "new" face of the GOP. Why let Ted Cruz have all the fun of being the nation's Number One Scumbag?

surgethis • 3 hours ago Just think about the back rooms and sickening conversation with whiskey breath and cigar smoke in the air where Tom DeLay made his deals and crafted the facade that he is a god fearing man.

surgethis • 3 hours ago DeLay has nothing left but the religious card. He is bankrupt as a human being. The radical religious right that wormed its way into our system like a blood sucking parasite will embrace any broken sociopath willing to spew the lies and distortions they call Christian values. Values that they claim gives them the right to lie, cheat and steal all in the name of god who they claim speaks to them directly. Dangerous revolting pigs.

althejazz • 3 hours ago − Looks like the nutters are now running the asylum

Autumn V. • 5 hours ago − Hey Tom - God just spoke to me also, and he says you are a blooming idiot!

Angela Monger • 5 hours ago − People like him really need to be locked away in a mental institution. It wasn't some deity that got him off the hook for being a crook. It was the money that did that. And quite frankly I could do without his revolution.

D_C_Wilson • 6 hours ago − It's official. God hates America.

Foundryman • 6 hours ago − Who does he think he is? Elwood Blues?

--and--

Jerry Callender • 9 hours ago − The effrontery - everyone knows god only talks to Pat Robertson.

MooPig Personality Division :: "We tend to cluster around people who act the same as us."

Texas is like the Eastern Seaboard
mashed articles by Pat Darnell  |  Oct 30, 2013  |  Bryan TX

Looking at America in psychological terms can be convoluted. Understanding of the human brain is still in its infancy and its function is misunderstood by many. The article "assesses people across five key personality traits--openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism." These "traits" are observable, but not fully understood either, any more than the openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism is understood in cows. But we must push forward, and the article takes in account of what makes us different and what makes "likeness" between people; if indeed we "instinctively" somehow group with others who are most like ourselves.

After all cows do "herd" with other cows, and not with gazelles, right?

There Are Three Americas Hiding Inside Our Country--Which Do You Live In? | Co.Exist | ideas + impact: "There are many ways of dividing up America: Red state, Blue state, Rust Belt, Bible Belt, Sun Belt, Stroke Belt...the list could go on. We're defined by our regional economies, voting patterns, stereotypes, geographies, and a lot else besides. These maps do something different: They look at America in psychological terms. They assess people across five key personality traits--openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism--and show us where the distribution falls.

Led by Jason Rentfrow, at the University of Cambridge, the analysis is based on a total of 1.5 million online surveys conducted in five batches. The researchers then cluster traits together, with the darker colored areas indicating higher correlation. The work is published in the latest issue of the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology."

'via Blog this'
" ... Obviously not everyone in each region fits the profile. We're talking statistical averages here. Still, the maps offer another lens through which to look at the big divisions in the U.S., and place several states outside the norm. Texas, for example, is less in the South and more in the East, which may be news to some. ... "
We find out that Texas is both "unfriendly and unconventional." Texas is neither "relaxed nor creative." Texas is "temperamental and uninhibited."
From the article: " ... In Cluster 3, the psychological profile of the region is defined by low Extraversion, very low Agreeableness and Conscientiousness, very high Neuroticism, and moderately high Openness. This particular configuration of traits depicts the type of person who is reserved, aloof, impulsive, irritable, and inquisitive. (The work is published in the latest issue of the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Ben Schiller. October 18, 2013. LINK) ... "
CONCLUSION
" ... Texas, for example, is less in the South and more in the East, which may be news to some. ..."

Fukushima: 28 Signs That The West Coast Is Being Absolutely Fried With Nuclear Radiation… | UKIAH BLOG: "Ultimately, all of this nuclear radiation will outlive all of us by a very wide margin. They are saying that it could take up to 40 years to clean up the Fukushima disaster, and meanwhile countless innocent people will develop cancer and other health problems as a result of exposure to high levels of nuclear radiation. We are talking about a nuclear disaster that is absolutely unprecedented, and it is constantly getting worse. The following are 28 signs that the west coast of North America is being absolutely fried with nuclear radiation from Fukushima…"  [Read Entire Ukiah Blog Post HERE]

'via Blog this'
1. Polar bears, seals and walruses along the Alaska coastline are suffering from fur loss and open sores…

2. There is an epidemic of sea lion deaths along the California coastline…

3. Along the Pacific coast of Canada and the Alaska coastline, the population of sockeye salmon is at a historic low. Many are blaming Fukushima.

4. Something is causing fish all along the west coast of Canada to bleed from their gills, bellies and eyeballs.

5. A vast field of radioactive debris from Fukushima that is approximately the size of California has crossed the Pacific Ocean and is starting to collide with the west coast.

6. It is being projected that the radioactivity of coastal waters off the U.S. west coast could double over the next five to six years.

7. Experts have found very high levels of cesium-137 in plankton living in the waters of the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the west coast.

8. One test in California found that 15 out of 15 bluefin tuna were contaminated with radiation from Fukushima.

9. Back in 2012, the Vancouver Sun reported that cesium-137 was being found in a very high percentage of the fish that Japan was selling to Canada…

• 73 percent of mackerel tested
• 91 percent of the halibut
• 92 percent of the sardines
• 93 percent of the tuna and eel
• 94 percent of the cod and anchovies
• 100 percent of the carp, seaweed, shark and monkfish

10. Canadian authorities are finding extremely high levels of nuclear radiation in certain fish samples…

11. Some experts believe that we could see very high levels of cancer along the west coast just from people eating contaminated fish…

12. BBC News recently reported that radiation levels around Fukushima are “18 times higher” than previously believed.

13. An EU-funded study concluded that Fukushima released up to 210 quadrillion becquerels of cesium-137 into the atmosphere.

14. Atmospheric radiation from Fukushima reached the west coast of the United States within a few days back in 2011.

15. At this point, 300 tons of contaminated water is pouring into the Pacific Ocean from Fukushima every single day.

16. A senior researcher of marine chemistry at the Japan Meteorological Agency’s Meteorological Research Institute says that “30 billion becquerels of radioactive cesium and 30 billion becquerels of radioactive strontium” are being released into the Pacific Ocean from Fukushima every single day.

17. According to Tepco, a total of somewhere between 20 trillion and 40 trillion becquerels of radioactive tritium have gotten into the Pacific Ocean since the Fukushima disaster first began.

18. According to a professor at Tokyo University, 3 gigabecquerels of cesium-137 are flowing into the port at Fukushima Daiichi every single day.

19. It has been estimated that up to 100 times as much nuclear radiation has been released into the ocean from Fukushima than was released during the entire Chernobyl disaster.

20. One recent study concluded that a very large plume of cesium-137 from the Fukushima disaster will start flowing into U.S. coastal waters early next year…

21. It is being projected that significant levels of cesium-137 will reach every corner of the Pacific Ocean by the year 2020.

22. It is being projected that the entire Pacific Ocean will soon “have cesium levels 5 to 10 times higher” than what we witnessed during the era of heavy atomic bomb testing in the Pacific many decades ago.

23. The immense amounts of nuclear radiation getting into the water in the Pacific Ocean has caused environmental activist Joe Martino to issue the following warning… “Your days of eating Pacific Ocean fish are over.”

24. The Iodine-131, Cesium-137 and Strontium-90 that are constantly coming from Fukushima are going to affect the health of those living the the northern hemisphere for a very, very long time. Just consider what Harvey Wasserman had to say about this…

25. According to a recent Planet Infowars report, the California coastline is being transformed into “a dead zone”…

26. A study conducted last year came to the conclusion that radiation from the Fukushima nuclear disaster could negatively affect human life along the west coast of North America from Mexico to Alaska “for decades”.

27. According to the Wall Street Journal, it is being projected that the cleanup of Fukushima could take up to 40 years to complete.

28. Yale Professor Charles Perrow is warning that if the cleanup of Fukushima is not handled with 100% precision that humanity could be threatened “for thousands of years“… (Michael Snyder, on October 21st, 2013. LINK) ..."

SUMMARY
" ... Given that the FDA has refused to test seafood for radiation, we’re not that confident that the government is looking that hard to see if Fukushima fallout is the cause. (George Washington on 03/31/2013. LINK) ..."
" ... No contaminated fish have turned up in the U.S., or in U.S. waters, according to experts from the Food and Drug Administration [which isn't testing], Environmental Protection Agency and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They expressed confidence that even a single fish sufficiently contaminated to pose a risk to human health would be detected by the " ... U.S. monitoring system. [But would the government announce such detection?] (April 19, 2011 by WashingtonsBlog. LINK)..."
" ... Vancouver Sun reported in January 2012 that 94 per cent of the anchovies and 92 per cent of the sardines sold by the Japanese to Canada contained radioactive cesium. Some of the fish were caught in Japanese coastal waters; but others were made many hundreds of miles away in the open ocean. (Note: there may be additional reasons for fluctuations in the numbers of anchovies and sardines other than radiation.) Moreover, radiation from Fukushima was directly deposited into the kelp off the Western coast of North America … especially in Southern California. (George Washington on 03/31/2013. LINK) ... "
" ... The floating debris will likely be carried by currents off of Japan toward Washington, Oregon and California before turning toward Hawaii and back again toward Asia, circulating in what is known as the North Pacific gyre, said Curt Ebbesmeyer, a Seattle oceanographer who has spent decades tracking flotsam. (April 19, 2011 by WashingtonsBlog. LINK) ... "
CONCLUSION
" ... We are not prepared for this. Nobody is prepared. Nobody has even thought through the dimensions. This is unprecedented in scientific history. It’s unprecedented in recorded history. There’s never been a devastation on one continent that has moved off to the other continent and actually recorded. (LINK) ..."

" ... The nuclear-power industry, meanwhile, argues the document does not relax guidelines for responding to radiological incidents enough. Comments the Nuclear Energy Institute, which represents the industry, submitted Sept. 16 say the agency [the EPA] needs to do a better job balancing efforts to protect the public from radiation exposure with other considerations. (Douglas P. Guarino, Global Security Newswire. September 23, 2013. LINK) ..."

MooPig Enterprises weeps. For five years we have tried to expose the bureaucratic bombast that pervades our modern existence. At present we at MooPig Enterprises can think of nothing more sinister than this: government agencies not reporting on the biggest disaster in human history.

MooPig Tech Coroner :: "Pacific Ocean, PART 2"

"After we left Japan it felt as if the ocean itself was dead,'' Macfadyen says.

"I've done a lot of miles on the ocean in my life and I'm used to seeing turtles, dolphins, sharks and big flurries of feeding birds. But this time, for 3000 nautical miles there was nothing alive to be seen. (GREG RAY. Oct. 18, 2013. LINK)"
The ocean is broken | Newcastle Herald: EXCERPT  |  " ... The wind still whipped the sails and whistled in the rigging. The waves still sloshed against the fibreglass hull. And there were plenty of other noises: muffled thuds and bumps and scrapes as the boat knocked against pieces of debris.

" ... What was missing was the cries of the seabirds which, on all previous similar voyages, had surrounded the boat. The birds were missing because the fish were missing.

" ... Exactly 10 years before, when Newcastle yachtsman Ivan Macfadyen had sailed exactly the same course from Melbourne to Osaka, all he'd had to do to catch a fish from the ocean between Brisbane and Japan was throw out a baited line. ... "

CONCLUSION
No fish, no turtles, no teaming gaggle of birds, no whales, no life... EQUALS... a dead Pacific Ocean. Every so often we at MooPig mourn the passing of a technology that has gone by the wayside due to modern, supply side driven technologies. Today, we mourn the passing of a very large technical part of the earth -- the Pacific Ocean. It has been polluted to its breaking point by civilization who does it in the name of "clean energy:" in the name of "security:" and in the name of "progress."

" ... What is the greatest threat to humanity? We are, of course….and our technology. Like a dangerous weapon in the hands of a child, technology has overtaken our capacity to control potential consequences. Oxford University’s Future of Humanity Institute, led by director Nick Bostrom, says we have entered this new kind of technological era that we have no track record of surviving.

Our technological intelligence may have the potential for creating a better world, but so far, in areas of the economy, genetics and biologics, arms and warfare, security and surveillance, as well as the environment and energy, technology is also completely indifferent to the law of unintended consequences.

Fukushima is what happens when we have the moral responsibility of infants and the technology of adults. (Dr Caldicott. March, 2011. LINK)... "

MooPig Opinions and Editorials Department :: " Middle School and Guns"

It's all a Set Up
By Patrick Darnell  |  Oct 24, 2013  |  Bryan TX

Comment:
... You take a child out of a nurturing elementary environ, force them into a factory setting, [middle school] while the child is going through puberty and trying to manage strong hormonal injections of estrogen and testosterone, while girls are starting their periods, and older kids and teachers are there like predators who pounce rather than nurture... it is no wonder that adolescents are psychotic, by definition they are so. Then make guns available from dad's collection, and bullets to boot... psychosis plus lots of guns equals disaster.

I have a suggestion: turn all the middle schools into farms. Introduce all middle schoolers to the wonder of animal husbandry and growing things.

[Picture LINK]

Students learn math by studying hens laying eggs, and chemistry by milking cows, and about themselves while watching animals in cohabitation, and receive a liberal arts education watching animals reproduce.

Screw all the lawyers with there new-fangled CORE programmed learning, and STAR tests, and bullshit. Teachers today are referred to as "Facilitators." This is a crime against humanity.

Put America back in the agrarian state it belongs in. Put some backbone in our kids, instead of insidious, malfunctioning, brain drama.

I have spoke!

MooPig Health and Human Re-Sources Department :: "The ACA"

Here it is for your Reading Enjoyment
snagged by Pat Darnell  |  Oct 22, 2013  |  Bryan TX

'via Blog this'

It is 907 pages long. You will never read it, probably, you might flip through it.. but many will not ever go to this page online and see what it is. The Affordable Care Act, ACA, is like any government act in that it goes through many stages to become a law. First, it must be read, no?

[Picture LINK]

Maybe if we posted the pages of our ACA on walls of buildings and on lampposts, people would read it. That's it, ACA has no street credit:
“ ... Nancy Pelosi waxed rhapsodic in 2010 as she imagined the benefits of Obamacare: “Think of an economy where people could be an artist or a photographer or a writer without worrying about keeping their day job in order to have health insurance.”( BEN SCHACHTER. Tuesday, September 9, 2013. LINK) ... "
SUMMARY
Insurance companies have read it, or at least their in-house lawyers have. " ... Insurance providers are reporting cancellations. The Entertainment Industry Group Insurance Trust (TEIGIT) website posts the following notice: “All individual and/or Sole Proprietor Health Insurance will terminate January 1, 2014. This includes plans acquired as Members of our Affiliated Associations and their groups.” Those affiliated associations include the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, the Dramatists Guild, the Graphic Arts Guild, NY Women in Film and Television, and many others. (BEN SCHACHTER. Tuesday, September 9, 2013. LINK)..."

CONCLUSION
Collusion between insurance companies and health care providers, that is, between doctors and lawyers, has been interrupted. ACA will take the middle man out of the picture, maybe.

To most of us middle Americans and lower earning Americans Health Care has been un-affordable all our natural born lives. Probably, under ACA rules, some people who never even had healthcare will now receive some, and the rich will go ahead with self-insured models. For the middle class it will be business as usual.
"...Pelosi’s vision of a world full of carefree artists, musicians, and writers is a mirage and becoming fainter the closer we get to January 1. The unfortunate freelancers out there who are losing their insurance because of Obamacare now have one more thing to worry about. They may want to start looking for a day job.(BEN SCHACHTER. Tuesday, September 9, 2013. LINK)..."

MooPig Time / Space Department :: "CIA: The mysterious Area 51 exists!"

Area 51 is no longer an Island
Retrieved by Pat Darnell  |  Oct 22, 2013  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

" ... In 2010, James Noce, who said he did contract security work at the site in the 1960s and 1970s, told The Seattle Times that he used to get paid in cash, signing a phony name to the receipt.

Noce, then 72, told the newspaper that he had attended the first-ever public reunion in 2009 of former Area 51 workers.

"I was doing something for the country," Noce says about those three years in the 1960s. "They told me, 'If anything should ever come up, anyone asks, 'Did you work for the CIA?' Say, 'Never heard of them.' ... "But [my buddies] know." (Doug Stanglin, USA TODAY 2:37 p.m. EDT August 16, 2013. LINK) ..."
So you want closure to the mystery of Area 51? I think you might get better results checking into Area 52 -- that's what MooPig calls the Bush's Texas ranch out here near Crawford, TX. All those Area 51 secrets are dying out as the workers who populated Area 51 are elderly, and many not around anymore.

Most people don't tell stories about the guys who sign their paychecks. Area 51 is shrouded in secrecy and has not been tapped by some of the craftiest journalists over the last 75 years. Even President Clinton tried to get access to Area 51 documents, only to be told his security clearance is not high enough.

That is why MooPig Time / Space Department might try to ask Russians what really went on at Area 51. It seems to work that way: if you want to know the "real story" in America, you have to go to foreign news outfits.

Thus, why now is it disclosed, that:

" ... CIA: The mysterious Area 51 exists!: "George Washington University's National Security Archive obtained a CIA history of the U-2 spy plane program through a public records request and released it Thursday. National Security Archive senior fellow Jeffrey Richelson reviewed the history in 2002, but all mentions of Area 51 had been redacted."

'via Blog this'
" ... After nearly five decades, guys like James Noce finally get to tell their stories about Area 51.

Yes, that Area 51.

The one that gets brought up when people talk about secret Air Force projects, crashed UFOs, alien bodies and, of course, conspiracies.

The secrets, some of them, have been declassified. (Erik Lacitis. March 27, 2010. LINK) ... "
SUMMARY
"...[Countries] that give higher priorities to its military ambitions and defense initiatives ... America, Russia, China, India, UK, France, Germany, Japan, Israel, South Africa and Brazil ... have active research efforts ..."

CONCLUSION
I'm sick of hearing about Area 51.

Do you Want to Be a VAPEgeek Girl?
Mashed articles by Pat Darnell  |  Oct 21, 2013  |  Bryan TX

[youTube LINK]

Better Lifestyle Daily | E-Cigarette Exposed!:
When smokers try the electronic cigarette for the first time many are shocked at how much it looks, feels and tastes like a real cigarette. Most just can't believe that the electronic cigarette can actually help them quit smoking.

In the United States alone, over 800,000 smokers have already switched to electronic cigarettes.

'via Blog this'
" ... Studies which show that nicotine is about as equally harmful to your health as caffeine. These studies also show that the real harm in traditional cigarettes comes from the tobacco smoke and the thousands of additional added chemicals. (e-Cigs™ Terms and Conditions: Click Here. Oct 21, 2013. LINK) ... "

[Picture LINK]

Most articles about e-cigarettes are still just advertisements to spread the word about a casual and effective way to cut back on smoking, and to actually quit smoking. Why would tobacco companies be advertising about e-cigarettes? They know that litigation in the past against smoking has cost them a fortune, and can no longer avoid their responsibility to warn people about the dangers of lung cancer, and other dread diseases, caused by smoking.

This typical disclosure usually follows all e-cigarette articles on the internet:
" ... THIS IS AN ADVERTISEMENT AND NOT AN ACTUAL NEWS ARTICLE, BLOG, OR CONSUMER PROTECTION UPDATE
The statements made on this website have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, prevent, treat, or cure any disease. ... "
We have such disclosure because FDA has not yet turned their attention to e-cigarette processes for "vaping." Learning to VAPE is, like everything else, a lifestyle modification, but in my experience it is one of the easiest to get used to.

MooPig Uranium Update :: "Regulatory Issues - Canada"

Uranium Sources in Canada
Mashed articles by Pat Darnell | Oct 19, 2013 | Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

Regulatory Issues - Canada: "Canada eases foreign ownership restrictions for uranium mines Canada has agreed to waive for European companies a longstanding requirement that buyers take on a Canadian partner in uranium mines, a move that may spur greater investment in developing the country's rich uranium reserves.

The move, part of the Canada-European Union free trade agreement announced on Friday (Oct. 18), comes after intense lobbying from France-based AREVA SA and Anglo-Australian Rio Tinto Plc for Canada to scrap the Cold War era policy.

Canada, the world's second biggest producer of uranium behind Kazakhstan, currently restricts foreign companies from owning more than 49 percent of any uranium mine.

There are no ownership restrictions on foreign participation in exploration. Lifting the requirement for European companies would appear to benefit Areva, in which the French government owns a controlling stake. Areva owns the Kiggavik project in the northern Canadian territory of Nunavut. (Reuters Oct. 18, 2013)"

'via Blog this'

This article is tough to decipher, but it refers to "Cold War" years policies. Mining Uranium and other heavy metals are opening up markets around the  world, while previously "foreign ownership" was not allowed in, for instance, Canadian uranium mining companies.

We did not know that Canada is second largest in producing uranium.

Originally nuclear power plants were built to manufacture clean energy, that is, a power plant that doesn't let loose CO2 into our atmosphere. That was over sixty years ago. On November 23, 2009, MooPig Uranium Department reported on conditions leading to saturation of CO2 in our air by the end of this century:
'The U.N. expert group projects that such a path would raise global temperatures between 4.3 and 11.5 degrees Fahrenheit by century's end." (AP, Nov 23, 2009. LINK)

CONCLUSION
No matter how much reporting, or how many UN statements are made, the race to fill earth's atmosphere with CO2 goes on full tilt.

Nuclear energy was touted to be the clean energy source and mining of Uranium continues, all-be-it an industry that got its chops started in the Cold War Era. Foreign ownership of Canadian uranium mines sets a new precedent.

As a race of beings, humans on earth continue to live off of the geological distant past that produced a large non-renewable source of fossil fuels found in the ground in North America and around the world.

B17 in 1943: one for the record books… - progressivecentralists.org: "Although the tail actually bounced and swayed in the wind and twisted when the plane turned and all the control cables were severed, except one single elevator cable still worked, and the aircraft still flew – miraculously! The tail gunner was trapped because there was no floor connecting the tail to the rest of the plane. The waist and tail gunners used parts of the German fighter and their own parachute harnesses in an attempt to keep the tail from ripping off and the two sides of the fuselage from splitting apart. While the crew was trying to keep the bomber from coming apart, the pilot continued on his bomb run and released his bombs over the target."

" ... When the ambulance pulled alongside, it was waved off because not a single member of the crew had been injured. No one could believe that the aircraft could still fly in such a condition. The Fortress sat placidly until the crew all exited through the door in the fuselage and the tail gunner had climbed down a ladder, at which time the entire rear section of the aircraft collapsed onto the ground. The rugged old bird had done its job. (LINK) ... "

They spend money like a Houston socialite in Filene's Basement. They are the real "THEY." When you say THEY it is these people and their entourages. They see a pile of dough and they get all sweaty.

Republicans Owe Us 24 Billion Dollars Plus for the Government Shutdown: "As some points, the media is going to have to start calling Republicans out on their end goal. Let’s see. They get nothing… So what is the goal?

The result is the economy is harmed and America’s credit is dinged and we are a laughing stock. If those are the results and the GOP keeps doing it, at some point, we have to admit that those results ARE THE GOAL. That means that destroying America’s reputation, credit and economy are the goals of these Republicans, and the non-Tea Party Republicans haven’t the back to stand up to them, so the entire party is operating in service of the destruction of the country.

Last night, Nancy Pelosi saved the country again, bringing her entire caucus to vote yes to save the country from the GOP, while the GOP majority in the House sat on their hands, with 144 of them voting no on saving the country from default."

How many people have signed up for health insurance in VA? Who knows? « Watchdog.org

"Many families who are uninsured are middle-class."
Tangled arguments by Pat Darnell | Oct 19, 2013 | BryanTX

[Picture LINK]

The ACA -- aka OBAMACARE -- is a 900 page document. Do you think anyone has read it? How many pages are in the Bible... around 1900 pages? So, if you are uninsured for medical expenses, you should read the ACA, eh? If you are a sinner maybe you should read the Bible.

If one reads 100 pages a day, about 100 minutes or so, that is 9 days to read the ACA document. Chances are that one will not fully understand the document on his or her first read through.

How many people have signed up for health insurance in VA? Who knows? « Watchdog.org: "Numbers on Obamacare enrollment have been scarce — partly because of the slew of technical problems with healthcare.gov. Robert Gibbs, former press secretary to President Obama, said in a recent interview with MSNBC the first two weeks of open enrollment were “bungled badly” and “excruciatingly embarrassing for the White House and for the Department of Health and Human Services.” Industry analyst Bob Laszewski surveyed health plans last week, reporting that no more than 5,000 individuals and families have signed up for health insurance through healthcare.gov."

'via Blog this'

From an article in 2001 we see the building argument for government regulation of healthcare and phasing out of Free Ridership:

" ... Although it is common to think of the uninsured as having low-incomes, many families who lack insurance are solidly middle class ... . And the largest increase in the number of uninsured in recent years has occurred among higher-income families:
  • About one in seven uninsured persons lives in a family with an income between $50,000 and $75,000, and almost one in six earns more than $75,000.
  • Further, between 1993 and 1999, the number of uninsured increased by 53 percent in households earning between $50,000 to $75,000 and by 85 percent among households earning $75,000 or more.
  • By contrast, in households earning less than $50,000 the number of uninsured decreased approximately 5 percent.
More information about middle-class families who are voluntarily uninsured emerged from a recent California survey of the uninsured with incomes of more than 200 percent of poverty:2
  • Forty percent owned their own homes and more than half owned a personal computer.
  • Twenty percent worked for an employer that offered health benefits, but half of them (10 percent of the total) declined coverage for which they were eligible.
  • However, this group was not opposed to insurance in general, as 90 percent had purchased auto, home or life insurance in the past.
  • About 43 percent felt that health insurance was not a good value for the money, and rising insurance premiums will only increase this number. (Monday, April 30, 2001
    by John C. Goodman. LINK) ... "

SUMMARY
Before ACA/ObamaCare I couldn't afford medical expenses. I spent many years in my youth without medical coverage. With kids of my own now, I pay a stiff monthly premium to Blue Cross/ Blue Shield for coverage that has a hefty copay setup. I am being nickel'd and dime'd to death.

Now, after ACA/ObamaCare I still cannot afford hefty medical expenses. Some of my "old age" pills I need would take all my income every month. So without the wonky healthcare insurance, I have through work, we exist above poverty level, and can visit a family doctor, when we find a competent one.

CONCLUSION
Health Care in the USA is dodgy.

RESULT
This broad ax hucksterism by the Tea Party minority in the House of Congress turns out to be a lot of barking at the moon. And, this tirade cost the American GDP around $24 million. The douche bags in government, all of them, are never held "accountable" for their actions. This leads to grand-standing, lots and lots of litigation, and war.

" ... Want to boost your immune system for the up-coming flu season? Show the flu who's boss and strengthen your immunity with this antioxidant loaded raspberry orange smoothie! Raspberries are packed with 10 times the antioxidants found in tomatoes and broccoli - in fact, these little berries contain some antioxidants that are found almost nowhere else.

" ... Both raspberries and orange contain vitamin C (which is crucial for developing a strong and healthy immune system) - however, raspberries contain an antioxidant called ellagitanins, which is found nowhere else except in small amounts in strawberries (as well as in some Chinese herbs). These antioxidants not only strengthen our immune system, but they scavenge cancer-causing chemicals, rendering them inactive and thus unable to mutate our DNA.

" ... Many studies have shown the positive effects of ellagitanins (Ellagic acid) in raspberries such as:

- Making cervical cancer cells undergo apoptosis (cell death)
- Inhibiting mitosis in cancer cells (cancer cell division) by arresting the G1 cycle
- Preventing the P53 gene destruction by cancer cells
- Similar results above for cancers of the breast, pancreas, esophagus, skin, colon and prostate.
